Need of the course

Yoga is proving to be an important science to maintain, repair and restore the balance between body, mind and soul. There is a growing need for well trained yoga professionals having sound knowledge of the basic science of yoga due to increasing popularity of yoga all over the world.

A well trained yoga professional should have practical knowledge of various yogic practices. He / She should also have adequate theoretical knowledge of the basic principles and methods of yogic practices. He / She should also have knowledge of other systems of physical exercises.

In order to give due emphasis to the practical and theoretical training with a well planned syllabus, the course has been designed to one academic year.

Objectives of the course

To spread message of positive health as taught in yoga to people in a systematic and scientific manner.

To provide a proper perspective and insight into various aspects of yoga education to the trainees.

To make all the trainees capable of Teaching all the Yoga practices effectively.

Eligibility

.A minimum of 45% of marks scored in 10th standard from a school under a recognized board of education.

The candidate must have an average level of health and is free from serious illness or defects.

The candidate must be known to basic English and Hindi language. (As the course will be conducted in English and Hindi)

Study Timings

  • The study and practice for this course is divided into two sections.
  • First section includes all the live sessions which will be on every Saturday.
  • Second section includes all the videos and recordings provided to you for project work and self practice.

Course of Study

  • Candidates shall be permitted to do the Diploma Course concurrently with their UG/PG degree programs.
  • The Course of study shall comprise of theoretical instructions and supervised practical training in Yoga practical.

Examination

  • Available in Offline and Online Mode – you can choose any one
  • For offline mode Examination shall be conducted at the end of the course at our main center SUKH VAN RETREAT, Padmalaya, Jalgaon, Maharashtra.

Classification of Successful Candidates

70% or above : Grade "A"

60% up to 69% : Grade "B"

50% up to 59% : Grade "C"

40% up to 49% :Grade "D"

Attendance

Minimum of 70% attendance is mandatory to appear for the final examination.

Scheme of Examination

  • 3 Theory Papers – 100 Marks each
  • Practical Examination – 100 Marks

Passing Minimum

  • A candidate who doesn’t pass the examination in any subject shall be permitted to reappear in such subject in subsequent examination with reattempt fee of 500 INR per subject.

  • A candidate shall be declared to have passed in each paper if he / she secures 40% or more of the prescribed maximum marks for Diploma certification and 70% or more marks for Level 3 Certification.
